GameFutebol for Rede Globo

Webcore Games developed GameFutebol for Rede Globo, a mobile game inspired by the Brazilian Championship, created to bring fans closer to the excitement of the matches in the digital environment.

The project brought together some of Brazil’s main football clubs in an experience focused on penalty shootouts, free kicks and challenges based on key moments from the championship rounds.

The goal was to allow players to step onto the field with their favorite team, face major rivals and recreate decisive moments from the matches in an accessible experience for smartphones and tablets.

The game featured intuitive controls and a kicking engine that took into account shot power, curve, distance from the goal and the technical attributes of each athlete. It also included club uniforms, a Maracanã stadium setting, narration by Luis Roberto and real crowd chants, creating a more immersive experience for football fans.

Throughout the campaign, GameFutebol also featured round-based challenges, rankings and achievements, encouraging players to test their skills and compare their results with friends and other participants.

Developed for Apple and Android devices, the project was part of Rede Globo’s digital strategy to bring the Brasileirão experience to new platforms and formats of interaction.
